The first time I saw Harriet’s photography was after she had bought takeaway from a food stall I was running at the time; she plated the dishes at home beautifully and sent me some photos she took. The photos were stylish in a quiet and understated way, beautifully lit with natural light, somehow looking polished yet without artifice. The colors were vibrant without the oversaturated look of commercial-style retouched photos. It reminded me of Kinfolk-style still lifes but more naturalistic (and without that washed-out filter). It managed to elevate the subject matter and make an elegant statement in a way that my own food photos never could.

On subsequent visits to my food stall, she took other photos that showed her talent at capturing human subjects. Her photos of my parents and I working at the stall and the customers interacting once again showcased her naturalistic style, part photojournalism and part portraiture. She was able to depict the bustle and activity of the busy scene and yet at the same time to capture something about the human subjects that hinted at their inner life, in a way that was almost intimate at times.

A lot of commercial photography tends to be technically proficient but a tad soulless. Harriet’s work has a visual style that has depth and a soothing richness, while being effortlessly expressive.

Pasha, Luckmeow

I first hired Harriet for my wedding photos in 2014. She was like a fly on the wall and I pretty much left her to her own devices. I was blown away when I received soft copies of the day’s photos. Her photos, real and rarely posed, are beautiful and touching.

What she does is only possible by someone with not just talent and experience; but also someone with a lot of heart. She has frozen in time my dad’s nervous energy, my niece’s and nephew’s impishness and private jokes shared between family and loved ones. Her snaphots are of moments unorchestrated; genuine interactions and moods.

Harriet soon became an addiction. I hired her again for my daughter’s first birthday and then again when I worked with clients who need photography work. She has impressed me with her work ethics – diligently researching possible styles before a shot and then working hard till she nailed a shot. It was a pleasure working with someone with high standards for her work. I am a big fan!

Harriet has photographed my graduation family photos, maternity photos and family photos! I am a great fan of Harriet’s work - she has a wonderful eye that you won't find anywhere else and such a talent for capturing those special moments.

Always a great time shooting with Harriet - she first listens to my concerns before the shoot so that I feel comfortable knowing that she will avoid my bad angles. She never looked at the clock and suggested getting a few more shots, though we were respectful of her valuable time.

Thank you, Harriet, for these precious moments that we will treasure always!

Harriet is very kind and has best photography skills. Her hands on portrait shots is amazing. She don't mind taking extra shots on request. She is someone with lot of patience for kids photography and awesome family photos. Looking forward for another photo shot session very soon.

Well, dear Harriet, is one of a kind. She has a knack for weaving stories out of the ordinary. Her photography seems effortless but has great depth. She tells stories with her lens. We fell in love with her photography style since we first met at RAW.

Hi Harriet, Stephen Pincus here (Nick's dad/Bertina Bay's new father-in-law). I've just gone through all of the photos from Bertina and Nick's special day and want to thank you for documenting it so well. There is such joy and warmth in all of your photos. Well done and thanks very much. Cheers Stephen

Harriet made corporate photography fun! Was initially shy about having professional headshot, feeling awkward and all. But Harriet put my friend and I at ease in no time! We had a great experience and the photos turned out looking very natural for us. Highly recommended if you want to step out of the box not having boring headshot taken in studio!

The amazing photos Harriet took for my Department’s website were constantly being praised by other Departments and even used as benchmarks for other websites.

Harriet is a such pleasure to work with as she listens and goes the extra mile to meet the needs of her clients. Her bright, wonderful personality makes any project a breeze to coordinate. Highly recommended!

I really wanted beautiful photos that capture my everyday moments with my 2 dogs, and Harriet did it so perfectly. She discussed with me before the shoot to know the style and settings I wanted, and as we shared our inspirations, it was clear that we had the same vision.

In my opinion, it is hard to find a pet photographer in sg who is able to carry out the style of photography (believe me, I have searched for years) I was looking for. Casual, comfortable, yet personal and meaningful to me.

Thank you so much Harriet for crystallising my memories and emotions into photos. We will do an outdoor shoot the next time!

Valerie

Harriet is truly a people photographer with a heart. She masterfully captured the spirit and essence of the occasion and family bonds, stitching precious moments in time which we often miss or neglect. A lovely experience and I would definitely engage Harriet again in a heartbeat.

Harriet was my wedding photographer more than 3 years ago but every now and then, my wife and I still find ourselves looking through the beautiful photographs she shot on our big day. Harriet is easy-going, affable and genuine - she made the entire process so much more fun and enjoyable for us! Yes, she is able to cover the important happenings but in our humble opinion, what makes her work truly invaluable is her ability to capture all the priceless, blink-and-you-will-miss-it moments in-between.

Harriet is not only talented but went beyond and above from the very beginning of our conversation, she gave me so much guidance and advices from outfit, make-up, accessories, venue. She is very responsible and always quick to reply, I remembered that I texted her to choose the color of my suit and she walked me through the selection by ensuring every small details are checked; from the button, pants waist to even the pockets. Even during the photoshoot, she warmed me up pretty quickly and I truly had so much fun during the session. The end results were beautiful, the corporate photos were contemporary but yet professional with touch of style that was tailored to my personalities. I received so many good feedback and friends asking for Harriet's contact. I will definitely engaged Harriet for my next photoshoot (soon).
